Publish status updates
Keep customers informed throughout an incident with concise, time-ordered updates. It is written for the people who manage the page and the customers who read it, so you can confidently explain service health without exposing internal technical details.
Create an update
- 1.
Open Status Updates
Open the status page settings and select Status Updates.
- 2.
Create a report
Enter a title and a customer-focused description. Choose Created, Degraded, or Resolved.
- 3.
Publish follow-up updates
Open a report to add a new message and status as the incident progresses. A resolved report cannot receive more updates.
Use the available update statuses
| Status | Color | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Created | Neutral gray | You have opened an incident report and are sharing the first customer-facing message. |
| Degraded | Amber / yellow | The service has a partial interruption or reduced availability. |
| Resolved | Green | Normal service is restored; include the recovery outcome or time where helpful. |

If unresolved, say when customers should expect another update, even if there is no new detail.
