Choose the monitor shown publicly
Select the automated monitor that provides the public status page’s source of truth. It is written for the people who manage the page and the customers who read it, so you can confidently explain service health without exposing internal technical details.
Choose the right monitor
- Choose the endpoint that best represents the customer-facing service.
- Use a lightweight health endpoint when the full application page is slow or requires a session.
- Configure the expected status code and headers before publishing so the monitor represents a healthy response accurately.

Configure the monitor
Set its interval, timeout, request method, expected status code, headers, alert threshold, and SSL settings in Monitors.

Open Structure
Open the status page settings and select Structure.

Choose the monitor and widget
Select the monitor, choose its widget type, save, and verify the public page.
Keep the source of truth reliable
The status page reflects the monitor’s live state. If monitoring is paused, the public page shows a gray paused state; if there are no checks for a history period, it shows gray no-data history.
Use an automated monitor
The current status-page Structure workflow publishes an automated monitor, rather than a manually tracked service item.
