Use SSL certificate monitoring

Track HTTPS certificate validity and expiry before certificate issues affect customer access. The guide follows the same monitor workflow used in the dashboard, so you can create, pause, remove, and troubleshoot monitors with confidence.

When to use it

Use SSL certificate checks when certificate validity is part of your service-health promise. This is especially important for customer-facing HTTPS services and APIs.

Respond to SSL incidents

  1. 1.

    Open the incident

Review the SSL incident from the Incidents list.

  2. 2.

    Check certificate details

Confirm the affected hostname and expiry or validation message.

  3. 3.

    Renew or replace the certificate

Complete the certificate renewal process with your hosting, CDN, or certificate provider.

  4. 4.

    Confirm recovery

Wait for the next SSL check or manually verify the certificate, then close the incident when the service is healthy.
