Understand free-plan and subscription tokens

Learn how Statixoup token allowances work on the free plan and paid subscriptions, including usage tracking, upgrades, and quota management. Think of tokens as your account’s available capacity: this guide explains what uses them, how to keep track of them, and what you can do when you need more.

What pricing tokens are

Statixoup uses tokens to measure usage across your account. Every plan includes a monthly token allowance that covers checks, alerts, and premium features. When your plan token quota is reached, your options are to wait for the next cycle or upgrade to a higher subscription.

How tokens support your plan

Tokens help Statixoup control how many monitoring resources, integrations, team seats, status pages, and alert messages are active on your account. They make usage visible before you add more services, so you can plan your monitoring setup around the capacity included in your plan.

Plan before adding resources

Check available tokens before creating several monitors, integrations, teams, or status pages at the same time.

All resources are recoverable

Every resource type returns tokens on a pro-rata basis depending on how long it was active during the billing cycle.

How token recovery works based on usage time

All tokens used by monitors, alerts, integrations, and team members are refunded on a pro-rata basis when the resource is removed. The refund amount depends on how long the resource was active during the current billing cycle.

  • If a monitor was created and deleted within the same week, you receive a larger refund of the 20-token cost.
  • If a monitor was active for the entire month, the full 20 tokens remain deducted.
  • When an integration is disconnected mid-month after being active for half the billing cycle, approximately half of the 200 tokens are recovered.
  • For alerts, tokens are recovered daily based on unused alert capacity and days remaining in the cycle.
  • The calculation is automatic: remaining days in the cycle ÷ total days in cycle = refund percentage.
  • Removed resources are immediately reflected in your available token balance for the rest of the month.

Maximize your tokens

Test resources early in your billing cycle; removing them sooner means recovering a larger percentage of the token cost.

How token limits are enforced

  • Monitor/heartbeat/status page creation is blocked if tokens are insufficient.
  • Team member invitations are rejected if tokens are unavailable.
  • Integration connections are blocked if tokens are insufficient.
  • Alert delivery is throttled or queued when monthly tokens are exhausted.
  • Existing monitors continue running but may have reduced delivery guarantees.
  • Critical services receive a grace period of up to 24 hours after token exhaustion before restrictions apply.
  • Mid-month plan downgrades do not refund unused tokens; new lower allocation applies at next billing cycle.

Free plan tokens

  • The free plan includes a starter token allowance so you can monitor a small number of services and evaluate Statixoup.
  • Free plan tokens renew each billing cycle based on your subscription schedule.
  • Review your usage dashboard to see how close you are to the free plan limit.

Subscription tokens

Paid plans increase your monthly token allowance and may include advanced monitors, more integrations, and team seats. Upgrading gives you a larger quota so you can monitor more URLs, run checks more frequently, and connect additional alert destinations.

  • Choose a plan that matches your expected check volume and incident alerting needs.
  • Use the dashboard to compare current token usage against your plan allowance.
  • If you exceed your quota, upgrade the plan or reduce check frequency to stay within limits.

Plan upgrades

Upgrading your plan usually gives you more tokens and higher usage limits without changing your core monitor setup.
